Description
Princess Diana famously wore this alpaca wool jumper prior to marrying into the Royal family, on Wednesday, 29 July 1981. We are delighted to be able to recreate her innate sense for style through this offering.
The jumper is handmade in Peru using alpaca / alpacril wool. It is soft and cosy against the skin and can be worn with jeans and ankle boots on off-duty days. Peru is the world’s largest alpaca fiber producer . This country is home to 87 percent of the world’s alpaca population, and 90 percent of alpaca wool shipments are sent from Peru.
Alpaca wool is appreciated for its benefits, some of which are outlined below:
- Natural and biodegradable.
- Lighter and warmer than other wool types.
- Soft and silky and natural sheen.
- Thermal properties, allows the perfect body temperature.
- Naturally windproof.
- Durable and stain-resistant.
- Breathability.
- Wicks away body moisture.
We have in stock UK Small 8-10 and UK Medium 12. Please consult the sizing graphic included in the pictures to confirm the size that fits best. The jumper is quite large by UK standards and it may be the case that the Medium fits ladies that normally wear Large.
