Frazada is the name given to handwoven textiles produced by artisan creators of Peru. Each piece is woven by hand using sheep wool and natural dyes for the beautiful colouring. Often this process can take up to a month of a single weavers time, and due to the nature of the handmaking process, each piece is unique in its own quirky way. The frazada rug has a rich history passed through generations of Inca cultures and we are delighted to be able to support these communities by offering these rugs to a wider audience. This particular rug is 1 of 1 and is created using 2 pieces of frazada sewn together to create an altogether bigger piece. It is at home on any living room floor, bed cover or simply as a decorative piece for the sofa.

All of the rugs on offer have been meticulously picked by ourselves to ensure they meet our high standards. To clean the frazada rug please abide by these rules of thumb:

1) Do not machine wash
2) Hand wash only – for any unwanted stains we suggest using a damp cloth sprinkled with some baking soda, which should be left on the stain for some 45 minutes before using a vacuum to clean the area.
3) Occasionally, air the rug in the open, use something to beat the rug to encourage dust to disperse from the fabric.
4) You can use a steamer to clean the rug
